Knew I couldn’t expect to sneak in here & ‘lurk’ without replying to something…here I go again. Grin

:hello: ((((( Lori & All NestieBuds )))))…especially those chuckling at moi…please allow me to s’plain my method of packin for a trip...that isn’t an emergency.
Saves that ‘OMG’, can’t believe I forgot my…whatever…& being SOL once at my destination.

Rule # one…allow myself plenty of time & thought to pack all I’ll need.

Choose clothing…launder & iron if needed. This time, yup, changing from Summer to Fall - Winter wear.

I use the bed in my guest room as a gathering spot…lay out the open bags.
Gather clothes, shoes, jams & undies, toiletries, etc…lay them all out on the bed.
As I remember something I forgot…add it…everything is there when needed for use.
Pack everything the night before leaving…except what I’ll be using next morning…pack each of those after use.

Oooooo-la-la…snap, zip, all done…no hassle, no headache...place bags by front door…ready to go…just need to remember to take my bags with me. Titter

We took some time to take a trip along the Peak to Peak Hwy yesterday to see the fall color in the high country of Colorado. I actually saw a bull elk down the side of the road as we were going 35 mph and of course did not get a picture. However I will show you a picture of a herd of elk along the lake near the Estes Park High School grounds.

We did not go into Rocky Mt. National Park but did have lunch in Estes Park. We had about 3 hours of bright sunshine before the clouds rolled in over the high mountain peaks. That is a normal pattern for the mts.....

I took this picture at Lily Lake. There are 3 trail heads here and hiking would be wondrous on any of them. There were several kinds of ducks paddling about the lake and we hiked around it.

Thought you might like a glimpse of fall in the high country of Colorado.

Our weather has been so great that I have been getting out every day. The geese are not flying overhead every morning and night yet. The turkey vultures are back in their Arvada spots as they migrate. The Red tailed Hawks have migrated through and I have been seeing some here and there. But I have had lots of yard clean up and we have been thinking about redoing a bathroom, but now may just do 2 at once in the spring.

The WR eagles and the Fort ST Vrain eagles have yet to show up at their nests. I am sure hoping to see them soon.

It is good to read through all the news. Take care everyone.......wave

:hello: Linda ~ Happy I’m not alone with the early packing routine. Thank You…cannot imagine doing it any other way. Course I have witnessed G-Son Terry pack in less than ½ hour…no matter where he’s going…must be a man thing. Puzzled

Daughter Gina & I are driving to Denver, Colorado (Saturday the 8th…12 hours by car) to spend the week with G~Son Terry. He is attending pre-med studies @ University of Denver…he will be there 2 years.

Our entire family will be visiting him, the week of Thanksgiving…but Gina says she can’t wait that long. Me? I’m ‘just’ going to help with the drive & keep her company…can U see my nose growing? LOL

Thank You. Linda, for the BOTD…Anna & Donna, for the beautiful pictures…Kat, for the lovely FOTD…Judy, for the Potted Owl s’caps…Bev, for the great eye test news update. hug

:hello: ((((( All NestiePals )))))

I don’t dare go back further than this page! Supper is done & waiting for me.
