Camera being adjusted.







It looks as if it's stopped moving, so I think the third pic is the new look.

I went to the Archives & did not see the raccoon. As you can see the date/time is exactly the same for these two pictures. Is there a problem with the Archives?

My guess is that the problem is with the time in my s'cap, beans. I noted at time as 6:35 when I posted, so it was probably closer to that than to 6:28. I had the cam open most of the day, and the time does get behind unless you reload the page from time to time. It was probably in the nest less than a minute. I was home at the time I took the s'cap - will see if I get get an accurate time for it from the original s'cap once I get home (in an hour or so).

Same thing with the CU cam Archives: no raccoon.

If you keep a cam window open for a while, the time in the bar at the top begins to fall behind. I'm not going to try to explain it scientifically (maybe Richard could do that) - but what it means in practical terms is that if you leave a cam running all day, after a few hours, the time shown on the cam is a minute or two behind what's shown on your computer clock. The longer you watch without refreshing the page, the further off it becomes. I wasn't expecting to see anything, so didn't worry about refreshing once an hour so the time was accurate.

Here's a pic from the archive of September 22, showing the raccoon venturing into the nest - the time on this s'cap should be accurate.



If you check around that time, you should get the whole visit, beans - and I'd love to see a video. The little raccoon was cute as it looked around - as long as it doesn't make a habit of this!
