No one home at the Nooksack nest or in their favorite perch tree, but a pair was seen just a few hundred meters up river. Very likely our Nooksack pair. * click bigger *

14:59 The eagle on the nest takes off, does two circles over the grass field and returns to the nest tree at 15:01.

15:02 The eagle hops back down to the nest and settles down again. I'm starting to think that they have an egg{s} and are incubating.

At 15:32 the mate returns and the one on the nest takes off to join it in a local flight. They fly together for 3 minutes, and then one returns to the nest and assumes an incubation posture.
