Mom has left the nest and only one egg is visable. Night has set in there.

Jean and Bev, thanks for all the great screen captures today.
It will be interesting to see how many eggs she will lay before she sits on them full time.

Good Morning Jkr and Bev! Thanks! I had the cam rolling till I went to bed around 11:30pm EDT and Mom did not return to the nest. Sure looks like there might be 2 eggs there Bev! I believe birdsofprey had seen her puff up like she might have laid the second one. I will keep a video going today in hopes that we don't miss it. It's possible that she might even lay another one today. Last season there were 3 little owlettes! And so precious they were. It was fun to watch them play on the toys the family left out for them on their patio. The last day the cam was running the family came out and introduced themselves and gave some history on the owls. I am so happy the owls decided to come back to lay eggs there again this season!


Mom still has her back facing us and incubating. She is probably watching the action around the nest. In that direction is a parking area for the people in that condo complex. At the rail to the right is a backyard where one of the owlettes tried to sit on a child's basketball or soccer ball last season. Almost looked like the owlette wanted to play!

Jean.. I remember that from last year.... thanks for posting it ...Yes birdofprey did post that but we could only see one egg all day yesterday...
