Wooh OMG Raining, that is so like we see here on the Sunshine Coast of BC! As we say, wait 5 min and the view out our front windows of our Coastal Mountains is obliterated. The fog totally encompasses. I've only been here 3 years and am so immersed in the sudden changes in weather patterns (along with eagle sightings for sure). From one coast to another. hug

Love the pictures Raining and it is fine to post them here on the chat. That is the nice thing about the chats, we are not making observations so it allows a lot more freedom, just needs to be family friendlyhug I was out looking for our missing Port Moody eaglet today and heard and saw ospreys there as well. That was a bonus! Eaglet is still not making its location known!

Auntie Raining and all y'all wonderful Aunties......Hi Sandra and Darlene, wonderful friends too.

We got rain today! First time in months! It was not long but it did soak in and I just walked in it with happiness. We need so much more, but that was a spirit lifter.

Auntie Raining I enjoyed my trip to the beach and even the fog. Nothing like the fog rolling in - sure not a good idea to swim during that, so I refrained, right?

My family had a cottage at the end of LI where we went in the summers as I grew up and also until we moved to Texas (it was my parents place and sold after he passed). The fog used to roll in that fast too some days, but I think you get much more of it. I could smell the beach smells when I looked at those photos. The Gulf Coast does not compare if you grew up, like I did, on the Atlantic with the big waves and the tricky games it played to flick your feet out from under you. Such a wonderful place to learn to swim it was.

Also, your seagull pictures were great and yep, you can have them here. Chat threads are fun as we can share our lives in a family friendly manner.
See you later Aunties......many smiles to all y'all,
carolyn

Raining, your photos are fantastic.
Of course you may post them here. That's the beauty of this thread. We can post anything we want to share.

Darlene, sorry you didn't see the missing eaglet anywhere. I haven't been following the Port Moody thread so had no idea what was going on.

Carolyn, good to know you got rain even if a little. We've had too much this year and you have had none to speak of. So, in that case, I hope you get a downpour soon that lasts at least 2 days !

Not much to speak of around here today. I'm spending a lazy day doing nothing at all.

Oh Judy, that is just exactly what we need - a steady downpour for days. Unfortunately that is not the usual weather pattern in Texas. We get random thunderstorms which means if there is a 30% chance of rain that you must be standing in the right spot to get a chance at rain. There are invisible dividing lines where rain does not seem to cross - actually it can be quite amusing when you get excited about rain, then find out none fell at your house!
