Quote by: Woodlands BleuAnnie, since you asked I have problems with major moving graphics. That being said, if everyone else is good with them, I can beg off the thread and you can have them - would be fine with me.
Bleu and I had an incredible nursing home visit today. We saw all of our friends, giggled a lot (me), wagged our tails (her) and left having seen almost 50 people! The most fun was the Occupational Therapy room where we went from person to person, introducing ourselves and Bleu getting a ton of love. She is always happy to go there and always leaves with a huge grin of gold.

Carolyn,
I would hate to lose you from here and I respect your feelings about the graphics. I hope you can stand a few from time to time that aren't rapidly moving animations (although some of our emoticons are sure fast movers). I know that many enjoy the graphics but if there are a lot of objections, we just won't use them. I want everyone to be comfortable and happy.
You know, I was going to mention this very day that Bleu is a therapy dog. For some reason I thought she was retired. I'm so glad she isn't because she is such a perfect sweetie to brighten people's lives.
STICK AROUND PLEASE
Oh and can't forget how much I liked your poem......thank you!

Annie.....none of the smileys are a problem! It is just if people post a kaleidoscope or something like that. They would have to import them to be problematic And they would have to move very fast! So......thank you. Use smileys as much as you wish! I think they are fun. I can always just not look at something too......
Yes, Bleu is actively going with me two times a month or more. Today was long and so rewarding. It's fun for me since I actually walk about 30 minutes to the nursing home which gives us time to get ready and downtime afterwards (plus there often is lack of parking). It's sort of like an expedition.
smiles,
carolyn

Watcher ~ Very interesting experiment you did. Ever had any interest in taxidermy?
When I was in high school I, along with a mentor, trapped and "stuffed" two Kangaroo Rats for the Science Fair (got a Blue ribbon).
Later, I was very sad at having killed them. They have the most beautiful fur.
Your Grosbeak photo is wonderful. Spencer looks like he's having fun.
Too bad about the backyard feeders. I feed the doves and backyard birds....love hearing them sing.
Here is a pair of Eurasian Collared doves that have been coming for a few years. They didn't have
any food but sure knew who it came from. They were looking in the window watching me at the puter.
CLICK TWICE....(beautiful feathers)

I know than when you meet your future DIL, you will love her just because Yannick does!
Thank you for the Henry Van Dyke poem......I've always liked that one.
I'm very happy you will do our opening day post BUT you have to do it on our time. We're still trying to get through Wednesday. Also, please make all of it in bold type and use either green or blue for color.
Just saw your collage of the growing up of your Cockatiels......amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Sorry Annie, about the loss of your kitty, if there is one thing I can understand is this!!! we will always miss them until, I hope we see them again
