Oh my.......that pool coming in the door! Gus is a hoot. Bleu is named after Blue Herons which there are so many of here in town. So.......I named my bird dog after a bird? She has not complained yet.

Linda.....your photos are fantastic and I do love your thread.

Lana....my husband is also a fantastic photographer so I love it when he makes me awesome collages.

I do want to post one picture of Bibbo which is hysterical. She is looking at my monitor which has a picture of a hummingbird nest in Orange County with a hummingbird picture next to her. That picture is the hummingbird that likes my hamelia in our yard. Annie I think you will enjoy this one.

Here is our Harley who left us in December 2010 and he is still so very missed. I did the drawing in graphite of Harley in 2009 when he started to get sick.

RIP, Harley, sure he is playing right now with Champy Smile

by Henry Van Dyke - 1852 - 1933

I am standing by the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch
until at last she hangs like a peck of white cloud
just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!
Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all.

She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the places of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
'There she goes! ' ,
there are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout :
'Here she comes!'
