Looks to me like the eagle could be holding some nesting material in its talons.

Hi Sandra, I agree it looks like it's holding nesting materials but it's the tree.

Stalashen parents in the nest! There was a period where neither were there for a while today this is similar to the Sidney parents.

I took a picture of the nest this a.m. I thought that I saw 2 on the top of the tree and one on the left below. What do you think? If there were 3 in the tree this is unusual I believe.

Marg David and I feel there are 2 eagles at the most in the tree. Not sure about the one at the top on the right, could be an eagle but looking rather fat! Low on left is one for sure.

My husband is getting to be a true eagle fan, deciding again today we should nest visit. Just too nice a day to be inside.
Stalashen-Eagle flew in to top of nest tree and sat there while we looked for a sign of eagle in nest. No head visible.
Porpoise Bay-Eagle sitting at the top of that dead head tree you found one in Marg. A man on the pier told us the 2 adults have been very busy taking sticks into an area to the left of the original nest tree. Nothing sighted with binocs. We drove up to the construction site behind the group of trees and walked as close as we could get but still could find no nest from that angle. We figure we will have to wait until there is more activity with feeding and or juvie action to maybe find the new nest. I hope a month and a half is enough time for them to prepare a suitable nest!
Kinnikinnick-No eagle sighted.
Another good day eagle spotting.

Sandra, it sounds like you and Dave had a nice outing on March 6th.

Earl & I were down at Davis Bay this morning. We saw 7 eagles on the beach! Chapman Creek flows into the ocean and that's where we saw them, one was eating. We watched them for a little while and then some took off circling overhead then landing in the trees.

We then headed to the Stalashen Nest where we spotted one eagle in the nest tree. When we look through the telescope from our house we see an eagle in the nest and have watched them changing shifts. We are unable to look into the nest to see if there are any eggs but we're hoping.
