6:12 p.m. One mantling food and the other watching. This time I think Glory has the food and Scout has to snatch some.

6:14 Big wing squabble over the food. Scout does not get any. Then on second attempt Scout gets some food after another big wing flapping squabble. Glory moves in then and steals some of the food.

One eats at 4 and the other eats at 12. Then the one at 12 moves to 7 and flies up on the branch there.

6:19 Scout is back and they are looking for nestovers. Scout is off at 7 again.

6:20 to 6:24 Glory stands at 7. Then moves to 4.

6:24 Glory flies off from 4. He looked just like an adult lifting off the nest....so smooth and sure. It is sure good to see them and know that they are both looking so fat and sassy.

They are both still visiting the nest!Clapping I have had an insane busy week and haven't had time to even check in on the form let alone the cam. So happy to see they are still sticking close to home. In all these years of watching the California nests where unfortunately you know which ones make it and which ones don't, it always seems to be the ones that stay close to home longer that survive long term so it's wonderful to see these two sticking close still!

I adopted the Delta2 nest!

July 3, 2011 low 60's to the mid 90's. Sunny

Darlene and Jannice I'm glad that the pics helped you see these two. I am happy to know that they came back into the nest at 7:21 and 8:21. Darlene that is good info about those that stay around the nest longer. Last year KC and Banner stayed until the cam was off in mid July and who knows how much longer. The juvies I see near me in November and December are still traveling with the parents too. I have no idea where they are migrating from or where they return. The eagles that nest in this area do not migrate. Though some believe that they are part of the many eagles that go to Barr Lake or stay near the Cherry Creek DAm during the winter. The eagles that spend the winter in the Pueblo area are either from the mts or from the states east of Colorado. Most are not banded or do not have transmitters so it is hard to know for sure.

It is after 8 and the nest is empty.

WHEW!! it is a HOT day.....anywhere from 95 degrees to 99 degrees. The juvies have come to the shady nest to try to stay cool......or so I'm thinking. They have been at the nest since 1:50 and now it is almost 4p.m.
