I was at the park on Sunday and saw an adult in the nest feeding an eaglet. I have seen only 1 eaglet but have been told there are/were as many as 3 One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. ~ William Shakespeare |

A few pics of the adult perched in an adjacent tree, keeping an eye on the crows dive-bombing her. That's a crow behind her in the 3rd pic. Click bigger. One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. ~ William Shakespeare |

Went and watched this little guy have a few unsuccessful attempts at branching last night. Very entertaining, but he's getting there! “Be who God intended you to be and you will set the world on fire.” - St Catherine of Siena |

I went to the park yesterday afternoon and saw one of the adults (looked like Dad) perched at the top of the tree next to the nest tree. I heard the eaglet calling from nearby but couldn't see it. I started walking across to the other side of the road, saw a shadow, looked up, and the eaglet was flying right above me. It was right into the sun and I didn't even try to get a pic. It flew back to the nest, the parent flew in, and it looked like the eaget was eating. The parent flew to a lower branch in the nearby tree and watched the eaglet as it jumped and flapped to a branch in the nest tree. There were lots of crows in the nearby trees but this time they weren't bothering the eagles. Click pics bigger. One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. ~ William Shakespeare |
