Dear Judy,

Thank you for your kind words. It was interesting to listen to student comments as each person had a chance to say what she/he would remember most about grade 3 during our last Circle Time. Several mentioned Tribes, which gave students an opportunity to work in a cooperative learning situation for a variety of activities. Math was another popular choice. But it appeared that most students would remember our field trips, particularly those to Elizabeth Lake.

Before they left to start their summer vacation, each student took away a copy of A Kid's Guide to Elizabeth Lake - 2011.

We hope you enjoy reading through it!!

Thank you for sharing a copy of the Kid's Guide to Elizabeth Lake - amazing how many creatures there are to see! I expect the calendar would say otherwise, but in many ways I'm a kid at heart. Smile

During walks to Elizabeth Lake today and yesterday I captured the following images, which show some of the biodiversity that this wetland area has to offer.

This dead catbird was alive with ants and flies as they help the body to decompose and the whole "Circle of Life" process starts over.
