Chick is saying - Feed Me - and Mum is calling out for Dad - but no arrival yet!
I was also going to point out the hole - looks like a night time hatch.

Mom fed the little one. She is still a bit wobbly, but she did get bites swallowed


The eggs - Hole in the one on the left is quite visible, but also note what could be a crack down low in the egg on the right.

SATURDAY, JUNE 18, 2011

4:22 a.m.
Mom is doing a lot of back preening.
I don't see eggshells anywhere which I was hoping to see this morning.


4:58 am
Mom has still been busy preening and laying on the nest. So far she hasn't checked on the chick or eggs.


5:01 am
Mom is up.
The chick looks good but the eggs are still intact.

5:02 AM
Dad arrived but didn't bring food.


5:03 am
Mom flew off and instead of staying to watch the chick Dad flew off as well. And the dark egg has been wiggling.


5:05 am
Chick is up begging to be fed. So far Mom hasn't returned.
The chick has looked up a couple of times which makes me think maybe Dad is perched above the camera.

5:07 am
The chick is getting very impatient for food


5:08 am
Mom returned. She didn't bother rolling the eggs but resumed incubating and brooding immediately.

Mom has been up and down trying to get comfortable but she hasn't rolled the eggs at all yet.


5:50 am
Mom is still antsy and the chick is constantly squirming. Wish Dad would bring a fish.

Today is day 36 for the second egg and day 32 for the third egg.
