One more thought about the angles on Kathy's photos. I have seen her up on the roof of her truck to get a better shot. If you have a long lens, you can move further back to flattern the image from the the parking lot then crop in. Depending on where you are standing it can help.

Looks like light rain on Saturday and then some sun on Sunday. I'm busy Saturday so if the weather co-operates I'll try to make the circuit on Sunday.

TEF I think you should read up on the documentation on the first page of this thread and realize that even though youve been watching this eagles nest you don't seem to realize it has produced 2 eaglets a season since 2006, even though one of the two did not handle their fledging well fell from the tree that they were rescued and taken to OWL and eventually released after rehabilitated, who I have been associated with since 2006 and that Vanier eagles always produce 2 eggs hatched to two eaglets every season since 2006. 2007 there were two eggs that hatched but for some reason neither of the chicks survived, but there was still 2 eggs and they hatched.

I had captures posted since 2006 but the HWF had to down size its posts for every discussion thread because it was too big and the captures on the thread are now from Jan 1 2010.

OK,. I wasn't part of this discussion, but I did read the thread when it was happening. Judy, can we please keep the topic on what is currently happening. It's unfortunate that your feelings were hurt, and that apparently you did not receive the respect you feel you deserve. However, I believe the question was justified. The purpose was to determine if you were stating that there were two eaglet based on an actual sighting (photographed or not). Or were you simply guessing based on the history of the nest. Neither is the wrong thing to do, but it is important to be clear on what the statements are based on. I'm now out of this discussion, and i hope it will end. The forums are for discussion on what is actually happening at the nests, not petty banter about who might deserve an apology.

Looks like I won't be able to get to any of the nests this weekend. It's raining now and it's expected to continue through Saturday and I'm tied up on Sunday.

If you are reading this. A big thank you to Kathy for sharing her excellent photos of the eaglets.

Thanks for getting me to research. Here is the link:

0 fledges in 2007. 0 fledges in 2004. So as you can see, there is a possibility that there aren't successful nests from time to time. I don't get why you got all defensive and expected an apology to a serious question.

You are both arguing with different topics. TEF you are talking about fledging, and Judy is talking about how many eggs hatch. Let it go, or take it to private messaging. It doesn't belong on the forum for everyone else to wade through.
