Hi Litz!

WildEarth is doing some upgrades to their system (they're bringing the archives back!) and it is affecting our ability to view all the cams. Hopefully, they're just about done.

In the meantime, you can view all 5 HWF cams here...

http://www.hancockwildlife.org/

Delta 2 seems to be frozen.

Or you can keep trying to watch them on our live cam page. Here...

index.php?topic=cam-sites

Hope this helps!

Hi Litz! Our live cameras are streamed to the internet by an organization called WildEarth - and they've been doing some work on their website today which has affected the ability to see the cameras.

Those of us who had a camera window open before they started their work are still able to see the cam - it didn't disconnect those who were connected, only kept others from connecting.

If you go to our home page http://www.hancockwildlife.org and scroll down a little ways, you'll see a window with an arrow - which is another way to see the cams. Last I knew, you could see most of them there, although the link for Delta 2 wasn't working.

It looks as if WildEarth is almost finished their work, so with luck you'll be able to watch all the nests again soon by using the links on our Live Cams page - index.php?topic=cam-sites

Hope this helps - and happy eagle watching!

ok I have a stumper for you guys. Kathy (evaklk) has recently changed her avatar to a sweet mother fox she got to spend some time watching in the mountains. I and I alone can only see her old avatar which was a butterfly she shot in Africa. Now how can it be that everyone but me can see this new avatar????

this is what I see, the old one still

My guess is that you need to clear your cache, Lori. It saves copies of recently viewed pages and images because it's faster to load them from your computer than from the web - and the name of Kathy's avatar didn't change, so your computer thinks it's OK to use the file copy.

Closing all browser windows might do it, as might rebooting your computer - some browsers are set to clear the cache when you do one of those. Others are set to use unchanged images for some number of days.

If you need a how-to, let me know which browser you use. Good luck!

Thanks Judy that does make sense but the issue is, clearing my cache and a complete clean up is something I do every single day. I'll have to dig deeper and see what I'm missing. Sure is odd I can tell you that! Everything else changes as it should...just not Kath's avatar

Hmmm - I should have realized you'd already done the easy stuff.

I just went to EA, and I see the wolf.

If you click the link - images/userphotos/9029.jpg - or post it directly in your browser, what do you see?

Assuming you're still seeing the butterfly when you view her posts, would you right-click it, pick image properties and see if it's the same as the link I posted (ending in 9029.jpg)?

Thanks!
