Thanks for the help with the s'cap problem. Lori at EA explained to me how to adjust them & I should be ok now.
I have a couple s'caps rom today, but I keep forgetting to put the time on them.
I try to keep a good eye on TH, because he was hatched on my birthday.
Both around 6:20

Quote by: yalitldevlSidney looks horrible Richard, it was better the way it was. It turned our lovely eagle into one weird looking eagle hehe. I hope you have and are willing to use, an 'undo'
hmmm... looked OK to me but turns out the screen I was looking at it on was "streteched" so aspect ratio is wrong. Got my math wrong in the crop
stream will be down for a bit when I fix it - have to get new batteries for my calculator.

Quote by: pudzzy1More plactic this was today
This nest is literally in the middle of a huge industrial area. Where the plastic comes from is anyone's guess.
I can vouch for the fact that there is NO way it comes from the Lafarge people - theirs is by far the cleanest and nicest concrete plant I've ever seen - and there is no hint of plastic in the operations.
While there trying to get the other camera working I noted that there was some plastic stuck in the tree below the nest. Nothing could be done about it as it was well above what we could reach from the ground (by about 40'
Debris blows around the waterfront all the time - but it also could just as easily have come from one of the buildings on the other side of the tracks, out in Vancouver's East End area where there are lots of small businesses including all manner of "used" materials and reclamation sites as well as some vacant lots and building sites; all potential sources of plastic sheeting.
One of the hazards of being in an urban area - and there is NOTHING that can be done about things like this in the nest area while there are birds in the nest. Sorry - but that is simply life in the city for these birds.
richard
addendum: There is nothing stopping people from taking a screen shot of this plastic and going door to door around the area both telling people to be careful and maybe even suggesting to them that they donate to the cameras. Please note however that donations must be made directly to HWF via our normal methods (which includes snail-mailing cheques to the office) and this in no way authorizes people to solicit cash or other money, even if you mean well.

Mornin' Richard, 506 viewers already
sooooo, now this shot is showing that there is still a slight distortion in the eagles shape. The head shape in particular shows it and the body looks 'stubby', can you do a wee adjustment yet?

The calculations of height/width ratio taking a 640x480 pixel camera feed and making it into a cropped (so it appears zoomed) 360x270 both give me 1.333333 as the ratio
I can't get any closer - will be out something one way or the other. Note that the old way you saw it was out somewhat - this way is actually closer to exactly the right ratio.
