Congrats CocoSally. I hope you really enjoy your visit. Looks like you will have some decent weather thru Friday. Maybe it will hold out over the weekend as well.

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought they had at least one in there. I'll drop by after work. I brought the big lens with the plan to make a couple of stops. I'll try to get some at Strathcona. However since you have some great shots from today, I won't stay more that 30 minutes. Then I'll drop by Jericho and Possibly Vanier as well. Good Job!!!

Ian, Urban Eagle and other Friends of eagle, I am really enjoying my time here. Wow! one eaglet! No wonder the pair were so territorised while I was there when a Raven pass by the nest!!! They were both pretty aggressive!!

My brother an I went to Boundary Bay Park today.....and again, we saw those wonderful Eagles!!!!

I dropped by Lafarge, but not much was happening, so I moved over to Strathcona. That was really good choice. Both adults were present. One on the nest, and the other west in one of the trees by the Baseball diamond. After moving around to 2 or 3 spots for the best angle, I was finally able to see an eaglet. Then a short time later, I realise there were TWO!!!. So confirmed, Strathcona have hatched two this year. From the amount of time the parents spent out of the nest, I would say there are no additional eggs waiting to hatch. If there is a third, maybe he's too small to see over the edge of the nest. But for today, we can definitely confirm two.

Here's a photo.
