Here is my video of Belle feeding Paddy something from her crop. No food has come in today so it is the only explanation that I can think of . Who knows but sweet Paddy is still alive after more than 48 hours without food so it really makes me wonder.
If nothing else the video is a beautiful story of love between a mother and baby eagle! I'll warn you that it is long (8 minutes)

No change Belle continues to incubate or brood Paddy while facing towards 9 oclock.
At times I sure think I am looking at the groomed head of Liberty but it is our Momma Belle brooding. I would sure like to see
Liberty land in this nest before dark with a big fat fish.

Belle cries out softly a couple of times then looks up. Think we have company in the attic as we can
hear a bit of movement up there. Belle remains seated and continues to brood Paddy cake while facing 9 oclock.

More soft cries heard and this time they came from the attic I think as Belle's beak did not move.

Another big gust of wind and Belle was looking all around too. I sure hope the weather cooperates tonight...it is suppose to be a very bright night because of the position of the moon so great for cam viewing.

It definitely came from the attic. Mom is now looking up and there is an exchange of conversation between them. Belle is looking really tired again

Belle has cheeped softly a few times and I think we have heard some soft calls from the attic too.
Belle continues to incubate facing 9; Paddy is quiet and tucked up inside of Belle's warm brood patch.

Belle is looking up again towards the attic and calling out softly.

OMG the intruder landed in the nest again this time up near 12; Belle quickly jumped up and immediately lunged at the intruder and pushed
the intruder off the nest near 12 oclock.

Paddy alert and was right up after intruder left.

After the intruder was pushed out of the nest; I think Mom may have done a quick
flight around the nest I heard the sounds of flight but I missed in as was typing and scapping.

When I checked again Mom is standing up near 11 after the intruder was pushed out of the nest.

Paddy was crying and looking up at Mom.
Mom bends over and offers her beak to Paddy; Paddy sitting up makes good contact with Mom's beak
it sure looks like a feeding attempt but there is no food in the nest.
Paddy's crop tonight looks flat and she appears leaner today than the day she was born.

Belle moves in to resume incubating facing us; she gives Paddy a wee bit of tuck in too; Paddy is quiet now and laying down.
Daylight is starting to fade quickly now and soon it will be dark.

Mom is incubating kinda in a high position and we can see Paddy Cake as she pokes her head out and looks up at us such
a precious moment.

Belle continues to sleep while incubating or brooding facin 9. No noise other than a hum on the cam. The moon is
suppose to be brilliantly bright tonight so that should allow us see into the nest.

but not sure; intruder is likely perched there. Wind is making a lot of noise on the mic too.

Mom brooding Paddy.. she looks so peaceful and content... i hope she gets a good night sleep... she has a lot to deal with
since Paddy hatched... not fair.

Quiet except for a hum on the cam even the wind has died down. Belle does appears to be sleeping.

Note: Today is Lil Paddy cake's - Day Four since hatch; Lil Paddy has not had any food yet. The intruder continues to threaten this family. Belle has had to remain close to the nest to protect her baby and the nest. As far as we know Belle has not had anything to eat since before the hatch as well. Liberty has not returned to the nest since before the hatch, which was March 16. The male intruder continues to threaten this family.

Sadly at 150 pm today's date Lil Paddy cake gives her life for the tragic events that occurred to this family.

Belle continues to brood facing the 12 oclock postion. The bright moonlight tonight is casting interesting shadows on Belle
and the nest.

Sounded like geese calling, Belle's head looks like she's raised it to look out towards 11:00 oclock

Belle continues to face 12 and is incubating nicely. The moonlight is beautiful tonight really providing
lovely light to the nest. Not sure Belle likes it though.

Again, some very distant geese-like sounds. Belle looks awake, with only her head turned to the left a little.

Belle appears to be asleep continues to incubate facing 12 oclock.

Belle is having alot of awake periods tonight; awake again and does a wee bit of preening while remaining
seated and in the brood position.

Belle continues to rest and appear to be asleep her heard is leaning forward and even drops down further towards
the floor of the nest in front of her while she sleeps; she must be so exhausted and troubled to by all these events.

330 am
Belle is awake again; Repositions and is now facing towards 1 oclock and while resettling on the egg cup area she rocks back and forth
from side to side as if to comfort Lil Paddy cake and the remaining egg. Belle is up on her wings a wee bit too as if she is warm and trying to cool
herself off abit too.

345 am
Belle repositions just abit but remains seated and in the brood posiiton.

407 am
Bell is awake adn preens her back coat feathers a bit.

410 am
Belle is up repositions herself appeared to tuck Lil Paddy in under herself too. Now incubating and brooding facing 9 oclock now.


430 am
Belle is restless; she looks up then nods off abit as you can see her head drop down abit then she looks up again. Poor Belle is exhausted
without the help of our Liberty and of course without any food at all.

440 am
Can hear a crow cawing....in the area. Belle hears it too and looks up in response to its
calls.

440 to 515 am
Belle continues to incubate and brood the entire time; appears to sleep well and occassionally looks up but then quickly resettles.

530 am
Belle is awake but continues to incubate looks around and then resettles.

550 am
Belle quickly raises up off of Lil Paddy and the egg. She looks all around then she looks down at Lil Paddy and resettles down onto the
egg cup area again; brooding and incubating Lil Paddy and her unhatched egg.

550 to 615 am
Belle assumes the snoozette position (tucks her head into her back coat feathers and wings) then she wakes up briefly untucks herself
looks all around then assumes the snoozette position again.

615 to 635 am
Belle continues to incubate and brool Lil Paddy; she seems to sleep very lightly tonight; head hangs down and she looks asleep then
she quickly wakes up and looks all around. Bless her heart she is tired tonight with little rest.

635 to 645 am
Belle is awake and is calling out while remaining seated. Belle looks over toward the 9 oclock position. Movement heard in the attic and the tree shook
a wee bit. Someone is definitely perched in the attic above the nest. Belle cries out again. Poor Belle what a stressful few days this has been.


645 to 655 am
Belle gets up and we get a glimpse of Lil Paddy; Lil Paddy is crying a wee bit cheeping to her Momma Belle. Belle resumes incubating the egg
and Lil Paddy now facing 11 again. Lil Paddy is tucked in snug as a bug inside Momma Belle's brood patch and feathers.

Crows are heard calling in the area; caw caw caw and then Belle calls out softly as if in response.

657 am
Belle calls out and is up and flies out of the nest using the exit near 3 oclock. The tree shook as well. Lil Paddy is now awake and is
cheeping abit too.

7 to 705 am
Lil Paddy is sitting up in the egg cup area; seems alert and is cheeping and peeping. Lil Paddy appears to be tracking something out of our view she turns her head and neck as she looks as if she is following something in flight and out of our view. Adult eagle calls heard in the area no visual yet. Lil Paddy seems hears it and cheeps in response to those calls too.

710 am
Cam lighting has switched from IR to daytime view. Geese heard in the area. A very slender stick is falling over Lil Paddy a wee bit. Lil Paddy was hunkered down in the egg cup area but has popped up sitting again. Not sure where this slender stick came from it just appeared perhaps from the
attic above the nest not sure. The stick seems to rest on her times as she moves a wee bit in the egg cup bowl.

720 am
With a few rests inbetween Lil Paddy has been active moving in the egg cup area but seems to topple over alot more than before.

720 to 740 am
Human voices heard not sure....sounded like it. Lil Paddy has had a few rest periods sleeps abit then wakes up and cries again cheep cheep cheep.
No sign of Belle or Liberty or the intruder.

740 am
Lil Paddy cake seems restless is moving about the egg cup area in the nest bowl then topples down again.

742 am
Belle lands in the nest. Tree shook again so perhaps the intruder just landed in the attic above the nest again. Belle immediately resumes
incubating and brooding and is now facing 12 oclock.

Lil Paddy was left exposed for 45 minutes while Belle was out of the nest

745 am
Belle continues incubating remains seated and while brooding rocks back and forth on the egg cup area perhaps to comfort Lil Paddy or perhaps to position her better on her brood patch.

750 am
While Belle incubates she picks up some bedding with her beak and tucks it in all around her. Tuckaroos a few times then she rocks side
to side a bit too comfort her Lil Paddy cake a wee bit and to positon herself perfectly on her brood patch.

755 am
Belle seems a wee bit restless while she incubates as if she cannot get comfortable.

8 to 810 am
Belle is up and does a Lil Paddy and egg check. Belle does a wee bit of digging to loosen the bedding that surrounds the egg cup area.

810 to 830 am
Belle has been incubating and brooding quietly for about the last 40 minutes with the exception of getting up for one check or so.
Lil Paddy has been mostly quiet.


830 - 845 am
All remains quiet; Belle continues to brood and incubate Lil Paddy and the egg.

846 am
Movement heard from the attic; intruder is likely perched up there. Tree shook a wee bit.
Belle cries out a few times in response to the movement heard in the attic.

850 am
Crows heard cawing in the distance; Belle calls out a few times; more like soft cries. Belle raises up just abit off of the egg cup area; Belle
looks down at Lil Paddy then resettles down on the egg cup again brooding Lil Paddy and the egg.

850 to 9 am
A shadow flies over the nest no response from Belle; a dog is heard barking in the area too.
Belle calls out a couple of times while incubating and looking all around too.
Lil Paddy is quiet no cries heard while she is snug as a bug tucked up inside Momma Belles coat feathers.


9 to 930 am
Belle continues to incubate and brood quietly. No sounds from the attic.
