ok...I'm getting a little barfy watching their tree today...sure is rockin'...hopefully it will stay intact. Haven't seen the pair today...and...I may have mixed up the Hasting Park eagles with the Lafarge eagles...I still think it's the Lafarge pair that roosts in the tree by the race track over looking New Brighton...they look massive in this tree. Both were there as I came down McGill yesterday...beautiful...have a good day...bd.

The visitor seems to be hanging around in the area...
Saw him again yesterday and again this morning.
I saw Ma and Pa Lafarge doing air acrobatics this morning shortly after I saw the visitor.

Dropped by the Wall Street Park today at noon today. Both eagles were on the nest when I arrived. Took a couple of quick photos and watched for a few minutes. After a very short time, one adult left the nest and flew off toward Canada place. Not positive as it went down below my sight line. There was train blocking my view. WIthin a minute, the second adult also left the nest and seem to follow the same flight plan as the first. I should have a couple of pictures to post after I process them.
Here are one of the photos.

They sometimes hang out near the Starbucks on Powell St which is West of the nest (towards Canada Place)

...one's up higher on the branch right now...all alone 6:01 pm...they've been in and out of the nest all day. the other has flown away somewhere. off to get a latte at the Starbucks on Powell...ha ha...I saw this pair once on the cross of the church with the red steeple around Hastings and Nanaimo area...just watching everyone I guesss...they were out on the barge conveyor framework this morning side by side...preening one another...looked pretty cool. It would be nice if that wire could be removed from that branch somehow...maybe at the end of the season when they're gone for a bit...I just saw pa/ma fly east where the Cannery used to be...New Brighton area...maybe...b

nothing to post today...hoped I'd wake up to an egg or two...if it's going to happen then it should be soon. As far as this pair having enough to eat...they are a mature pair...they hunt everyday and everyday I see them bring a "kill" to their nest...sometimes it's early in the day...sometimes mid-afternoon...sometimes at dusk. This year the nesting is late...they had eggs this time last year as well as the year before that. I don't think food is the issue here...perhaps the weather...with all the wind and rain we've had it's been a tough year for all eagles...out for now Bob D.
