Good morning - and thanks for posting the weather here, Judy!

8:56 am
I just noticed an adult in the nest (and looked carefully, knowing that we have at least one 5th year sub-adult in the area) - it was gone before I was able to finish what I was doing so I could try for a s'cap.

9:01 am
Another quick visit - and this time I got a s'cap.

It looks to be snowing fairly hard at Delta OWL, but I haven't seen snow here or at White Rock yet - interesting how much difference a few miles makes.

9:08 am
Both there now.

And I'm seeing some snowflakes.

A few more pictures and then I really need to get back to the Sidney Video thread and the timelines....

Not sure, but I'm thinking it might be Dad who is checking out the nest cup while Mom stands nearer the cam - though it's windy enough to smooth Mom's head feathers when she faces into the wind - and to ruffle Dad's generally sleeker head when he doesn't.

The one nearer the cam left; the other continues to stand in the nest as the snow picks up.

And now the second eagle has also left.

2:25PM adult dropped on to the nest from above with a sizable prey item of some sort.

Hasn't moved off it yet

called for the other adult who has yet to arrive,

2:36PM the lone adult is enjoying his food. seems to be a bird of some sort

Looked up and the bird was gone.. and so was the food!

2:42PM bird on the nest eating no clue if it's the same one (but that's my hunch)

2:45PM exits the nest from about 4oclock spot

I no longer see the food on the nest

2:47PM saw adult on the distant perch but it left and now is back again (gone only seconds) seems to be eating based on body movement

Good morning! Thanks for the late night pic, Terry - and it looks as if the snow is pretty much gone from the nest this morning - must admit I'm surprised. Still lots of snow on the ground in the background.

I'm late getting started this morning - haven't seen anyone yet, but just brought the cam up.
