We don't usually post shots from the cam here - but I'm guessing this is the new view Richard added, Bob? I see it comes complete with an eagle! Smile

Thanks for the suggestion, Bob, and thanks for adding it Richard - nice to see the various places where the eagles spend time.

Hi Judy/Richard...the view at the end of the conveyor would be just a little better if it included both ends of the framework...they are there usually everyday...like bookends...then sometimes when the weather is cold they will buddy up...side by side keeping each other warm. Over the past days I've watched a little hanky panky....up on the containers is where they like it...we'll see how the weather over the next week affects egg laying etc...but it's getting to be that time. Ma was fixing up the nest over the wekend...Pa was on the hunt. They have been spending time in a cottonwood that over looks McGill and new Brighton Park. The tree is actually located on the edge of the racetrack. Ma and Pa were both there last Sunday around 11:00 am...they have been spending more and more time at their nest over the past month....all the best...B.

...they seem to have had no problems with the cold snap...they've been spending their nights in a tree by Hastings Race Track overlooking McGill...there's not much wind there so perhaps that's why. They seem to be doing well this morning...watched the female readying her nest...I'm watching them with my binoculars this am...go to the web cam and watch for a while now....b.

Thanks, Bob! I'm glad to hear they have somewhere a bit more sheltered to spend their nights during this cold spell.

There is a visitor in the neighborhood, currently sitting on a tree about 2 blocks away from the nest:
