Semiahmoo Spit, 2-16-10. This immature was camped out on the Drayton Harbor shoreline, not far from a dead shorebird.

Semiahmoo Spit, 2-16-10. This is becoming a popular snag for our eagles. I've seen two matures in this snag on several occasions, but this is the first time I've seen two immatures at this location.

Semiahmoo Spit, 2-16-10. I watched two people walk directly toward the snag after they left their car. This prompted one eagle to fly away while the other remained in the snag. The eagle flying away made a wide loop around the harbor before returning to the snag. Clickables

Semiahmoo Spit, 2-16-10. Decided to check out the eagle snags at sunset today. No eagles present, but this sunset was too good to pass up. Clickables

Hi Linda: We've been seeing a lot more juvies in the past two weeks. Matures have been around for months, so I'm glad to see the youngsters arriving. -- Ed
