JudyB, no sooner did I see you s'caap and study that spot on the cam than an eagle departed from there off to screen left 'behind' our nest tree.

There is something large on the nest that doesn't seem to have been there before. Note also there is an eagle perched in the background I just didn't know it was there until I knew to look there.

4:10PM

I need to check with Richard and Ken, but also haven't heard anything so I'm guessing the cam that's working doesn't have sound. There was a PTZ cam that is refusing to communicate with the computers - perhaps it handled the sound.

Whatever seemed to be on the nest near 9oclock seems to have 'vanished'

5:13PM adult in from 3oclock to dig the nest
2nd arrives a few seconds later

5:15PM


5:16PM 1 adult leaves the nest from about 7oclock spot.


5:18PM 2nd adult departs out about 11oclock spot.

5:30PM adult arrived and placed a nice stick at 6oclock; digs in the nest


5:32 apparently saw something interesting and tracked it with his/her eyes a few seconds.



made a further adjustment to the stick at 6oclock then left from about 9oclock

6PM adult on the nest
2nd arrives
work together a bit

6:01PM


1 goes up to seemingly perch on the tree trunk at 7oclock --a bt of straw is now stuck there


6:05 2nd adult leaps up at the same spot and the nest 'rocks" (perhaps the cam is on that trunk and moved when the eagle jumped up)

Good pictures, Terry and Pat! Not sure how I'll find time to watch another nest, but they do seem to be an interesting pair.

4:18PM no activity at the moment. here for a while...

4:40PM a few moments ago an eagle landed on the Distant perch at about 11oclock of the nest





5:15PM eagle still on the distant perch.

5:33 looked up and eagle was gone

5:51pm thenest jiggled side-to-side a bit (a landing in the tree maybe?)
