Debs, I think that's Dad on the nest now - he arrived about 12:20 pm local time - I couldn't post at the time, and think we both posted at the same time when I got the pics of the switch up. He's fluffed up as much as he can, but he still looks smaller than Mom. I think.

1:32 pm
Dad is up, I think turning the eggs and trying to get comfortable. Wasn't able to see anything while he was maneuvering. I am glad they're keeping the eggs so well protected from the elements - but would like a very tiny peek! Wink

Thanks Judyb I missed the switch. We may have had a hatch I only saw one egg and Dad seems to be standing up off the egg cup area a bit more than earlier today.

130 pm
Possible hatch not sure
I only caught a quick glimpse of
one egg but it was so fast not sure.

I went to stir the soup and missed the switch at 1:30. As I watched and the eagle lifted up as it was shifting I thought I saw that characteristic gray fuzz under it. I think there has been a hatch also, but it was so fast I could not get a snap.

I guess we will see but this is a nasty storm.....gusty winds.

Hi Donna Hello I sure hope we are wrong but Dad continues to be raised up off the egg cup area bit.....funny he would not be sitting down keeping the new lett warm if that was the case....

I've been wondering, Debs and Donna. I couldn't see anything clearly, but he's having trouble getting settled, and I wouldn't think he'd have trouble with eggs, even though Mom has done most of the incubating.

He just did another half-stand, sort of "reach down but not really turn the eggs" routine and settled back - and is still sitting high. That does suggest that there may be a partially hatched egg at least.

But even though Mom has to be really tired of incubating after that long stormy night, I find it odd that she's leaving Dad there so long. I suppose it could be hard for her to find food - and she must be really hungry.

Judyb I wonder the same thing...and Dad seems to be looking down alot too. Apparently there is some freezin rain right now so that must make it very uncomfortable for them both too. Hunting and flying would be difficult too I am sure... the only good thing is the storm is suppose to be fast moving so hopefully we see an improvement soon.
