Jannice Hello How nice that you got a response so quickly Left thumb up Clapping and I am glad that they are aware and that they may also place some kind of barrier on the tree to discourage the racoons from coming back. I have to agree that the adults will definitely protect and defend their nest when required. Nice capture of the adults visit too!

I checked in several times today and did not find anybody home.....just an empty nest although the branches in the nest look a wee bit different than earlier today but it could be the lighting differences or perhaps there was another visit to the nest.

I agree Jannice. We have done all we can do and hopefully once the eagles are there full time the raccoons will stay far away. Thanks for posting his thoughtful and quick response. Appreciate all you have done in this critter invasion.

Great to see the eagles have been there today. I have been gone all afternoon so the notes were wonderful to read.

Donna Hello Awww that is dreadful news....great capture by the way. This will be interesting to see what happens as obviously the raccoons seem to like this nest for some reason....wonder if they looking for a place to have their babies Puzzled. I hope you share this information with Amy and Bob too as they may decide to place a barrier or deterrent of some kind on the tree.

Anyway I wish you all a Good night....

Sleepy Sleep tight

See you all tomorrow.

Thanks Deb. I will leave a note on the raptor resource forum. I don't want to overdue it but they will most likely see the critter on the stills in the morning. But it won't hurt to have a record of the visits we see over on that forum. He did restate a live trap which would mean moving them to another location.......I can only hope that something can be done.

Thanks, Donna and Jannice, for your follow-up on the raccoon visits. It's good to know that the appropriate folks are aware and looking at alternatives.
