Close-up of above picture and lightened. Almost looks like the eagles are in the nest, hanging on for dearlife.

Morning and Afternoon Maine

Bev Thanks...this is one of my favorite families to watch
....coming up to the 6th season too now if Mom and Dad would
get down to business this season it would be even better

Cal I have tried to get the cam no luck...several days now .

I think the cam has been down for about a week. I know some of the folks on the Maine forum are trying to contact the folks at BRI to see if they have any thoughts about the nature of the problem, and when it might be resolved.

Slightly off topic - I did receive a letter to supporters from BRI (sent before this cam went down, I think), and they are hoping the cam II eagles will nest in a place that lets them put up a cam - I'm guessing a zoom camera quite a ways away so as not to disturb the eagles, but it does depend what the options are. And they also said they were hoping to add a third eagle cam this year, focused on another pair of eagles in central Maine. From my perspective - that's great ... but I hope they won't be spread so thin that this camera won't get as much attention as it has in the past.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Judyb Thanks for the update . I check here daily..hoping the cam is streaming!! I did go over to the Maine Chat a couple of days ago to read their news about the cams since the blog information is outdated....no updates for quite some time. I agree I sure hope they get this cam and Maine Central up and running smoothly before they start on yet another cam ...IMHO.

The cam is back! And both eagles just visited the nest!

Thanks Judy for the heads up! Hurrah. The only cams I can get at work are the Media Player cams so I love to watch this one and the Santa Cruz nest at work. I have checked it periodically this past week so very happy to see it up!
