Glad to see that you are "back in action", eaglewoman!
Thanks for the pictures of Patriot. Looking at your 2nd picture of Patriot, I am convinced that he KNOWS you. Great that Liberty came to greet you too before you left the area. Looking forward to your video.
Just wondering, is your favorite viewing spot on solid turff? Sure hope so.

Another sunny day here, as you can see by CAL04's scaps! Great captures CAL04!
In my classroom today, we watched both eagles spend some quality time doing nestorations between 11:05-11:45 a.m. My students were so excited because that was the 1st time we had seen them on the eaglecam!!!
Tonite, I headed down on the new bike trail, which is beautifully paved thank goodness, and was treated to some nice viewing from around 4:15-5pm. Patriot and Liberty both showed up, did some more nestorations, brought sticks in, and then did some pair bonding. Patriot attempted to mount Liberty, but she shunned him by turning and pecking at him. She then made some nice calls. I captured all of it on video and hopefully can post those tomorrow when I get some time, along with some from last night.
Here are a few pics from tonite...

Awesome photos eaglewoman!
Thank you for teaching your students about eagles; fortunate youngsters, indeed, to have you as their teacher. Certainly do appreciate the time you take from your daily life to keep all of us updated on the nest.

CAL04, it really is what I enjoy doing, so it is my pleasure!
Here is the 1st video from last night where Liberty flies in with a new stick while Pat looks on from above...

note: You may want to keep your volume down low on this one, the only sounds you can hear are cars going by!

Hey Eagle Eye! Good to hear from you! Can't wait to hear more about your adventure down the Sacramento River!
Here's the next video of P & L working on the nest. It is a nice close up of the eagles, but again keep that volume turned down unless you want to hear road noise and a bunch of chit-chatting by me and some fellow bird watchers on the trail.
