It's a beautiful day at the nest today. It is sunny and will be in the high 50's.

The eagles were in the nest at 11:40 No dailies.
11:45 one eagle in the nest
11:47 both in the nest and the returning eagle had a stick. There are many new sticks in the nest.
11:52 both are watchful toward 9.
11:55 they are moving about the nest.

I had to leave as I am off to the retired teachers luncheon. Hopefully someone else has also spotted them. After watching the White Rock nest for a bit this morning when these eagles were no shows, I can hardly wait for the live action and sound. If you have not visited White Rock it is a glorious view and these eagles are really working on the fence on their nest. The scenery is spectacular.

Hey, Cal thanks the luncheon was fun and the food yummy.

I came in for a quick nest check and there was Ma standing at 11/12. I came in at 12:12 and she flew off at 12:17.

I'll be out for a bit but will check in and out on the nest. We have a cold but blue sky day and no snow at all.

4:51 pm - Empty nest.

Donna, Thanks for the pictures! Please take another look at Mom's back and tell me what you think. I zoomed-in on your first picture to take a good look at Mom's back. Do you think what I'm seeing in the middle of her back are just shadows?

Glad you enjoyed your luncheon!

Cal,

I am not sure either. It could be shadows. I will keep watch more tomorrow to see if it is there. In the second pic there is another shadow that has her feathers looking a bit different also. I did take another pic and I will go and look to see if it clarifies anything.

I took this yesterday or on the 9th but it looks like a feather and I cannot be sure it is the same eagle.

In this pic the eagle I cannot really be sure it was Ma has the same spot or shadow and it is still visible.

This is a time the dailies would come in handy. I don't think this really clarifies the question. I too zoomed in but it is hard to tell what is what.

Cal04 I can see that new bedding has been brought into the nest. I have not seen the eagles at all today. I have been checking in off and on all morning. I will be out for a bit now but will continue to watch for a visit and perhaps another look at the eagle's back.

Donna,

Thanks for going the extra mile for the FSV Sitting eagle family and viewers!
Thank You

Really do appreciate your reply to my question about the spot on the eagle's back. Yes, the daily pix would really have helped us see more. We'll keep watching....

12:31 pm,
Nobody home. Shadows on the nest are correct for the time of day so I believe we're getting a real time view of the nest.

Is there any way of viewing other than http://birdcam.xcelenergy.com/eagle.html these days? I'm having issues playing video with my new computer so can't tell if any of the WMP-based links work. I'll try to keep an eye on the nest, but may not be at the computer that much.
