wave I went to Saxe Point today - saw one eagle screeching on their favourite branch - got no picture because I did not take my camera due to the rain Cry

I went to Saxe Pt. Park for awhile yesterday; the sun was shining most of the time but the wind was bitter coldOh My Mom eagle was perched almost at the top of the nest tree, trying to keep her balance in the windRoll eyes I took pix from several different vantage points but the lighting was not good at that time of the day (as Karen knows). I have cropped these pix quite a bit because Mom was so far away, so the quality is not goodRoll eyes The first 2 pix were taken from the path by the rock bluff where there is not too much light, and the sun was shining through the trees, but it was the only vantage point where I could get her faceRoll eyes The 3rd pic was taken from the rocks by the beach and I tried to get as much of the nest tree as I could.

One final pic of Mom trying to keep her balance, with her tail feather blowing in the wind. Taken from the rocks beside the beach. Click bigger.

wave Great pics Kay!!

I went to Saxe Point today just after lunch during a lull in the downpours. We walked the dog. I did not take my camera because the weather did not look good and I was right. Half way around the park it started to rain. However, one of the eagles was in the nest having a good feed of something! Got my thrill for the day Nodding

HelloKaren, glad you saw one of the eagles todayLeft thumb up It definitely was a miserable day; no bird watching for meSad One good advantage to having a dog is you have to take it out for a walk, so you get the exercise as wellNodding
