These tame ducks were watching me take pics of the Heron.

A large flock of seagulls was flying over a field behind a farm. I couldn't see what the attraction was due to the buildings and trees.

I noticed two adults soaring away from me a short distance down the road so I headed for the crossroad to see if they'd eventually get closer to me.
I could hear one adult continually calling out as they got closer.

They were quite high but it was very cool watching the action.

A Red-tailed Hawk (I think) soon joined the eagles and made it clear that it didn't want them in this area. It continually dive bombed the eagle who was making all the noise.

As this was going on, a juvie was soaring with the other adult.

The aerial display with the eagle and hawk was very impressive with the rolls, and upside down flying by the eagle. Pics aren't as clear as I would have liked unfortunately.

The hawk left when the eagles moved on. I didn't noticed which way the juvie ended up going.
No eagles at the Camp River Rd. nest but I got a pic of my second ever Kingfisher. It stayed on the wire for half a minute then flew off.

As I was walking back to my car I heard a woodpecker close by. I finally spotted it hidden in the shade. It eventually moved to a telephone pole.
I think this is a Hairy Woodpecker. The first pic I have of one.

On the way to my next stop, I noticed a dark blob in a tree. I couldn't figure out what it was as it looked quite big but appeared to be hanging between two branches.
When I stopped and zoomed in I could see it was a Heron perched in the shade on one leg. Titter

As I was nearing the Kitchen Rd. nest I could see a flock of crows flying around. When I got closer I could see one adult in it's favorite perch.
4 different angles of this eagle and it's friends.

The crows decided that the nest tree would be a good place to yell at the eagle from.

I spotted another Heron as I was heading home. This one caught a crawdad I think.

When the Heron flew off, I noticed the moon had risen over the mountains. Smile
A nice sight to end my "short" drive with. Faint
