Glad to see that in your "227 pm" post you said, "not like our Wray to be subdued".

Have logged-in to say about the same thing. What I have been seeing this afternoon is not like our Wray's behavior of late. Believe that something is going-on out there that has her anxious. Whenever she leaves the nest she does not fly directly to the pinnacles but makes wide turns off camera before circling around. It's windy; don't believe she is out there flying around for the fun of it. She's checking on something.

WE - 2:28 pm,
Unfortunately I did not get a s'capture but at 2:28 pm Wray was screetching what sounded like distress calls; she was watching 2 large birds fly overhead and across the screen in close proximity. Was she seeing air-to-air combat?

Well I finally got my recorder going to see her trumpet more then leave the nest to the right. She flew off screen in a wide circle before landing on the pinnacles. About 2 minutes later Wray returned to the nest. More calls.

Wray leaves the nest and makes a wide circle to the left before landing on the rocks below.

Cal Great captures !! I definitely agree that Wray is not acting herself ...I wish we could know what Wray is thinking I do think she must be longing for her Superman K01 ! I had the cam up all day hoping to see our Superman ....and even thought I was in and out I had the speakers cranked to full volume just in the off chance he returned....tomorrow is a new day

Good morning Two Harbors (TH) and West End (WE),

WE - 6:23 am,
K-51 inbound.


After he settled, K-51 dug in the nest then had a go at the two large branches. The branches won (this time).

WE - 6:31 am,
Graceful Wray inbound.

6:34 am, K-51 and Wray have a little conversation. K-51's wing bling looks like a heart (think his own heart is throbbing, for sure!).


6:36 am, K-51 departs (guess he didn't like the jest of the conversation).


6:41 am, Screen to color. Wray is alone on the nest.


Wray, at times, sounded like she was whimpering (believe she misses SM). At other times this morning there were very loud calls from both eagles.
