Love coming here ~ This thread reminds me everyday of how lucky i am
To have met so many caring and wonderful people.
Jas what you did for others will now be returned ten fold.
Good luck my friend in all your endeavors.
Everything happens for a reason, they say
Some how i believe that .
What would we all have done
Not knowing you and your love for wildlife and people.
Hats off to you. !!Red Heart

Carolyn~ Your poetry speaks of who you are.
Your life , Blue and kitties too.
Your caring for others and wildlife is expressed
In so many touching and caring phases.
You and Jas compliment each other
With your loving and caring words .
You are both a joy to know .
Keep on writing my friend
We all need it .Red Heart

Good Morning Poetry Corner friends. I will have to read back a little but did read the last few. Jas, thank you for what you do. I thought you would like to know that I worked as a medical secretary in the Head Injury Unit at WCB in Richmond for several years organizing the patients travel, their meetings with doctors, attending meetings etc. at Workers Compensation Board. Carolyn I admire what you do with Bleu I'm sure the patients really enjoy your visits.

To all who write the poetry here a big thank you, you are so talented.Wub

WubRed HeartWubRed HeartWubRed HeartThank you Carolyn, Bev, Marg for your kind words and encouragement. not a day goes by that I am not grateful for my recovery. I have worked with many people who wish they could walk, talk and do basic life skills like feeding or eatting. I am going to try my best to return to work again to encourage people who may feel discouraged or given up hope to keep on the positive path. Like you have all said there is a greater purpose to our lives. It may not be the one we envisioned but due to unforseen circumstances,it may lead us onto a better path. For I would not have met you all had I not connected with HWF eagle cams. So for that alone I am grateful for my journey here.

Marg- you must have seen so many peoples lives be changed at WCB. Many people at my rehab centre are WCB clients, injured at work. Head Injuries were my specialty too. I worked at GFStrong on the ABI(Acquired Brain Injury) program, then became a patient there myself. What an irony so nothing was a surprise to me. I was fortunate for many coworkers offered me additional support and encouragement which made my days bearable.

Bev, your irish eyes are full of love and you see the world with love. That is an admirable trait to have. Thank you for your kind words.

Dearest Carolyn- you are one of the most positive, caring and delightful people I have had the honor to meet. Thank you for your uplifting kindness. It restores my faith in the goodness of people. It encourages me to keep on being positive and to help people in general. The seniors are sure lucky to have you and Bleu to keep their spirits up and to have something to look forward to. Keep up the great work.

Now for some poetry
Or should we call it POO ART TREE

For friends unseen
Just words on a screen
You have left hand prints on my heart.
Your kind words and encouragement
show your sentiment
Of just how sensitive and caring you are
So to you all I send hugs from afar
May I be there for you as you have shown to me
For on this journey I am learning to see
That we all have a purpose in this life
So my mantra each day is "Journey On I will"
So thank you my friends for giving me the strength to continue on still
Have a great day, enjoy it for such
Smile and know you are appreciated muchWub

No more tearsCry Hanky for you'll get puffy eyes
the screen will be a blurr
No more sadness, let's be kitties and purr

If you give it your 100%-you will succeed

Funny thing that, kitties and purring,
the vet could not hear my Eddy's heartbeat, as she
was purring so loudly.
Yes, Eddy is a "she".

Now how did that happen you ask?
What a strange name for a female lynx point oriental shorthair kitty?
There are traditions in life that must be followed in order to
enjoy laughter and happiness.

We named our Oriental Shorthair cats after the characters who played
in the old show, The Honeymooners, even though we NEVER watched it!
Our oldest is Ralph, he is white and peach and beautiful, not at all like the
Ralph of the show, but hey, if you cannot take a joke?

I had named him Koko after The Mikado character, but that was a no, no go!
After that we got Alice, who is a tortie and looks a tad like the Alice of that time.
She is a sweetheart, a love, and a motherly character,
currently she is 12 years old, and Ralph is 14.

i happened on Trixie, a friend had her, and she is another oriental,
this time a chestnut and silver spotted tabby, a long long name
for a gray, beautiful cat that looks like an ocelot, exactly, and currently 10.
She is Trixie in all manners of the definition, and a princess at that.

My Eddy was a gift of providence from a lovely breeder friend,
she knew I needed her and she needed me and together we would be.
She is named after Ed Norton of course,
my husband has yet to show a bit of remorse!

Our Bibbo is last, a rescue kitty, who called me to help her clearly across the net.
She is also sapphire eyed and a mix but naming her was tough.
Hubby searched Honeymooner's lore and found a burglar named Bibbo
and she responded that would be just lovely for her, oh!

Somehow it fits as she burgled way into his heart and he loves her so much,
that she cuddles by his side softly at night quietly, subtly, winning the fight.
To gain a home when she had none, and now she is the light of everyone's lives,
living here gently with kindness in her eyes, flying out into the skies.

REMEMBERING 9-11

This day awakens so much in me
Feelings of terror, horror and devastation.
My prayers and hopes are that all
who suffered, died , lost family and friends
It was not in vain.Cry

We should never take freedom for granted!
Each new day is a gift.
Peace, joy and love to all.Red Heart

Bev.

Lovely Bev........Thank you for your beautiful words.....

Words escape me today as I cannot understand evil,
it is beyond the color spectrum in my view,
and I know that is the same for you.

Fill the Earth with joy, let it ride in the skies,
lift it up truly high and watch it go on by.
Give it a huge push to reach the realms of the Earth.

If everyone pushes it hard, it will resound like a flying shard,
to hit places unknown in the past and then, maybe then,
it will last, last and last.

Joy replaces darkness, as light of the day replaces night,
to fix what is within us that gives us unreal, scary frights.
Then it flows into the stratosphere singing its own song.

That could be heard in the Universe if we sang it long, long, long.
Can you imagine the planets all resounding the joy,
of our common thread of joy and love flying out on its own.
