Hello Kay: Thanks for your comments. We just returned from two weeks in Texas, so I'm way behind in moving over to the new forum but I'll get there eventually. I cannot believe how mild the winter has been up here. Our tulips are coming out already, and I saw on the news last night that dump trucks were hauling snow into Cypress for the Olympics. The torch is coming to the Peace Arch next Tuesday so will head over there. Maybe one of the local eagles will be around. Did you ever get to Reifel? -- Ed

Hi all,
still getting used to the new forum. I have some questions.
When I read the forum without being logged in, there seem to be 9 pages.
when I log in..there are over 40 pages. Do we miss content if we read when we are not
logged in?
I also had trouble uploading an avatar photo even those I resized it. I was told the program couldn't red it. Is there a tutorial on uploading avatars?
If you log in while on one discussion forum, you seem to lose your place and have to wend your way back to the forum you were in. Is there a way to not have this happen and stay in the forum you were reading?
I hope this is the right place to ask questions.
Thanks
Joan

Good Morning Joan, and welcome to the new forum!!! PEB has a helpful tips thread located HERE with instructions for avatars, how to get around the forum etc.
The forum's default is 5 posts and 5 topics /page. You can set your preferences for 25/page by going into account settings, forum preferences and changing the first two numbers from 5 to 25. Then when you are logged in that will be reflected in what you are seeing.
At the bottom of each post, there is an arrow in the same column as the avatar is in. If you click that arrow, it will take you to the top of the page where you will see the index listed and it also tells you which forum you are in. If you wish to see other threads in the forum you are in, you click that forum and it will show you other topics in that forum.
Hope this helps a little.

thank you Velma,
It helped with everything. I was able to upload the same picture I used in the other forum, but it is blurry here. I just have to figure that one out.

Hi Joan - it's blurry because the avatars in the old forum were 80X80 - so here they are stretched to 100X100!
If you have the original picture on your puter - copy it to whatever photo software you use - even Paint - and get it resized to 100X100 - then it will be sharp and clear!!
Do that to a copy - don't lose your original!!

Hi Joan C,
I read somewhere that If you login by using the "login" box located in the far right hand column (scroll down until you find it!), you will be logged in to the page you were on. I just tried it and it worked!
cheers,
gemini
