This afternoon I took out my daughter's Christening Gown,
it is now washed, beautifully clean, and smelling fresh.
It has a slip, a gown, a hat and shoes, with tiny socks
that got lost in the wash, but then found.

There also was a little dress that could be worn home from the hospital,
for the little girl to be coming soon.
There are sweaters and bonnets and little black shoes,
to fit on tiny feet and as she gets bigger.

This is my daughter's second child, the first being a boy,
and the dolls are waiting gently upstairs in boxes set aside,
for this little girl in not too long a time, who will play with the toys,
that her mother and grandmother did.

She is going to be named after my mother, who was a sainted soul indeed,
and I think my mom will have joy in heaven watching all this happen down here.
For she loved my little girl until the day she passed,
and always will remain in our hearts as an angel so blessed.

There are two sweaters upstairs, a bit bigger,
knitted by her which will fit sometime in the future.
But one very soon might go to my son's daughters, 4 of them,
to wear as it is just the right size for play time, and imagination.

My son's girls have gifts such as this passed on to their mother,
so mother to daughter to daughter tradition goes on,
strong and long, with a song of joy, long going on,
down from the generations to the future we will not see.

One gift that I love is this.....my daughter-in-law, made a lap quilt
for her grandmother, who is in a home and cannot roam,
but she made it from pieces of dresses that her grandmother made
for her and her sisters, what a gift back don't you think?

Joy transferred on to the gentle hands to feel what she did years ago.....

Lone passage afar,
As gentle breezes wisper.
Feather falls silent.

I've been to Montana
Yellowstone part that is
Beautiful country
For the Griz

And other wildlife too
We must treasure it well
Keep it good as new

We can not think it will save itself
When it's man who takes for himself
So let's keep things wild & free
We can do much to preserve you and me

If you give it your 100%-you will succeed

Bleu and I and hubby too, just took a hike in a State Park, not nearby,
we saw wildlife plenty including alligators (2), bleu and green herons (little), snowy eagrets,
grebes, ducks and their duckling, and many more.
Bleu got to walk for hours in the great outdoors under live oaks quite beautiful.

I agree with the sentiment to preserve what we have, as it will not come back
if we lose it, for sure.
So if you have the will and can help keep things going, good things then
will be showing.

This morning woke up early for some reason unexplained and ended up
rescuing a toad caught in our skimmer,
the toad can now live a long life and I will question no longer,
the call to get up and help the little wonders.

Have a great evening and I will see you sometimes,
for visits such as this are often sublime!

How sweet it must be to have a friend Bleu
To hike and swim with your hubby & you
I'm still a single gal
Have yet to meet a lifelong pal

But I'm too complicated
To settle down with
I'll leave it to fate
To decide
if it's too late

There's no turning back
Life is what it is
There's always tomorrow
and people with more sorrow

So i try to be grateful for what I got
and for what is than what's not
Life's too short for regrets
Be happy not to forget

Hello to new friends,
Nice place to visit with you.
Old friends are here too.

***

Carolyn, Glad you enjoyed my little attempt at haiku. Thank you. I don't follow the traditional rules of Haiku but it works for me.

Jas, Thank you for taking the time to write about wild Montana. I have not lived in Montana since I was a teenager (many moons ago). Montana is always there for you. Although I have been to Japan, I was, unfortunately, not able to visit Kyushu. My best friend is from Kyushu; we just got off the phone.

Good night to you my friends (oyasuminasai).

Oh joy, it's morning
Our circle it is growing
Beaming happily.

Interesting the connection with Japan flowing through here.
something unexpected to me.

We all are complicated, sweet jas, and only time will tell
if you find someone like thee!

Enjoy every minute of your life so special,
paths cross unexpectedly.

Cal04 thanks for the gift of your friendship here,
please return often and post what you wish,
for we love to see you whatever you dish. giggle

Ohayoo gozaimasu (good morning).......
