Good Morning dear friends, hope you slept well
It's still too early, I can't break the spell
Of getting up early with the birds
My oh my, this is obsurd
And it's still dark here
I should go back to bed
But yet again my kitty wants to be fed
So it's a new day
With no mistakes in it
Carry on with your chores
and things yet to do
But don't forget about a friend named Bleu
Who's waiting so patiently
For a walk and a pat
How sweet it is for a little dog chat
So after some tea, we'll get on with the day
Enjoy whatever comes your way!

If you give it your 100%-you will succeed

A chuckle and a grin to start my day,
Bleu's room, indeed? She is honored and not wearing tweed,
she is happy on the tile stretching out a while,
to feel the cool on her feet, so sweet!

I am going for some tea, oh I wish it was with all thee,
and then Bleu and I for a swim as the water is cooler, oh glee!

I hope you beat your cat to bed so you would have the best spot,
without kitty imprints and the lot.
They sure like to nestle where the spot is still warm,
and often won't move until the afternoon! What a life........

what a life indeed
In my next life I'd like to be
a cat or a dog like Bleu
Who is blessed by love from someone like you
They know just how special they are
And how much they're missed if they travel too far
So what a joy it is when we're loved like that
That is just what I've learned from my cat
So purr like there's no care in the world
sleep in the sun comfortably curled
Oh what a life that would be
and it sure could be for you and for me.

Today I have a lazy day
No cares in the world
I'll do whatever comes my way
& I'll only do what needs to get done
But I'll remember to have some fun
So I wish the same for all of you
Drop us a line if your in the Room of Bleu

A quick note for you, before I get very busy I do!

Bleu has two roosters, one small and one large,
She squeaks them and brings them to toss randomly,
The big one is stuffed completely into her mouth which
means in spite of squeaks she is quiet as a mouse.

They get pushed into your face if you do not take them,
until the game begins of "throw and go"!
Throw and go and bring it back, then try to get it from her,
often a challenge.

She also has a Bleu Heron, her namesake, did you know?
We named her Bleu since the herons would show,
whenever I prayed I would see them dance and appear,
once on the railing of the bridge over the lake, what a shake!

Once they danced for me, two of them by a pond,
one jumping over the pond, joining the other and dancing,
then the second jumped to the other side and stood there looking,
gently at me watching with wonder.

Today on our walk we saw two young ducks
with their family of nine young ducklings swimming around.
It is worrysome as they are tiny and turtles will eat them,
but that is the life of a duckling I think.

They were little, itty bitty, quite cute and we watched,
with mouths open, surprised to see such a family.
Finding their way in the big world around, while watching
carefully for dangers abounding.

Today, Bleu's favorite toy was her giraffe,
she has always had one since a pup, although back then
they were tiny and small and now the one she has is
bigger and tall!

In our swim today, we learned some new tricks,
and I taught her to swim alongside of me as I wished.
She is a great lifeguard and for that I am thankful,
she watches me closely when I swim laps to protect.

So that is the story of my Bleu and I,
you asked and you got it, from Texas to you in B.C.

What a lovely way to spend the day
Swimming with Bleu, what a way to play
Then I see her taking a nap using her roosters as comfy pillows
Oh what a life wind in the willows
I live in the City of Richmond, BC
The Great Blue Heron is our logo bird indeed
So I feel a real kinship with your best friend Bleu
Funny these coincidences I find out about you
We played host to the Olympics with our olympic venue
It's close to the river and is still pretty new
so that's it for now, I'll be back again soon
I'll try my mind at some games and read up about loons.
Do you have them in Texas?
We have Pacific and Common Loons in BC
They have such lovely calls, haunting and beautiful
Maybe if I find a loon toy,
I can send one to you for Bleu to enjoy?
I'll see what I find at the pet store
Would Bleu be happy with just one more?
I loved buying Sasha her squeeky toys
I even found ones made out of soy
So the time has come for me to cook dinner
You tell Bleu she's a winner!
I'll be back again later on
Enjoy writing while I'm gone

I had to do research as I have not seen a Loon here,
and found out there are but only the Common Loon
while no where near where I live.

So, far Bleu has two Roosters, one Bleu Heron, and a Dodo Bird,
now the Dodo is extinct, but hers seems to live and she likes to
throw it herself as it has long legs!

I am sure she would love a Loon from a friend to share a connection sweet indeed.
The coincidences are remarkable and you truly do wonder,
how such things transpire in a world so grand.

My first trip to Japan was also a miracle as my dad, an Engineer, met
another Engineer from Kyoto at a convention and set up my visit,
a time so incredible, that I loved it beyond words.

I got to learn the tea ceremony, flower arrangement and the lingo,
but what I did not tell you was that I learned Kyoto ben!
So that when I went to University to study Japanese my professor said.....

"No, you must learn proper Japanese, not Kyoto dialect" and from
thence they straightened me on the course, yet I still remember the speech of Kyoto.
Soft indeed, and beautiful to hear even for a gaijin (foreigner) like me.

Good Night from sweet Bleu and also me too!
Kiss your kitties and set them in bed cuddling them for me
since I cannot be there to pet their soft fur and cuddle them too.

Thank you for sharing Carolyn about your journey to Japan
That's the best way to learn a language- being part of the plan
For a country so small
It amazes me how many dialects exist at all.
My relatives are in Oita in kyushu
My parents had an arranged marriage
Then my brother & I followed in a carriage
we were born in alberta making us canadians indeed
My parents raised us planting potato seeds
Then we moved out to BC where I've spent my time
I love the coast
It's in me you see
But the albertan in me appreciates wheat for without
I couldn't enjoy my toast!
What a way for us to share about ourselves in poems so unique
It lights up my life in our cafe Boutique
Thunder and lightening are flashing us now
I'll find my kitties somehow.
They may be hiding under the bed or in closet
Or they'll soon emerge from under the faucet
silly kitties they are to entertain me
Now is the time to hop into bed
I'll beat them to my spot
And surely they'll come out too hot to trot
So I bid you goodnight
Sleep well & sleep tight!

When you have kitties in the house, being lapped in the norm.
Now in this case, "lapped" means to be sat upon with intent to stay, come what may!
Often they take their paw and wrap in on your hand to prevent any movement upward and out,
or sometimes they just position so carefully down that if you move you even have a frown!

The guilt caused by kitties to their owners who they "lap", is infamous,
industriously strong and you hear of it from famous places and not.
The kitties that belonged to kings owned their laps, making decisions far to weighty
for a kitty such as that!

Now what to do with the mouse is a decision they can do, yes?
But what to do with the kingdom is far beyond a kitty to pursue.
The kitty should restrict activity to sleep, for sleep is their expertise,
as kitty's owners will attest, actually their best, yes?

The kitties that belong to others often ride in their cars,
enjoying the fresh air, brought in with the breeze,
and screaming if their hair gets mussed inconvenient as it is.
So the owner is careful to do as they please.

The choices of food are particular, are they not?
For what kitty that you know of would ever consider squash?
Or pumpkin or pumpkin seeds or anything of the sort,
they won't eat it they won't, without any remorse.

Their times for their meals are also particular it seems,
for 5 am is early to dish out their dish,
but it seems that about that time in the morning,
is exactly their wish!

We are lucky they are willing to live with such as us,
people who don't always get the kitty code or bust,
we fumble around doing as they wish,
for the pleasure of having their attendance, oh bliss!
