Judith, Thanks so much for your local updates...much appreciated by all.

Terry and Nora...your images and videos are truly amazing. We are so fortunate to have you amongst those documenting this wondrous nest.

No reports from the nest site today? I just read Terry's blog and he says that Spunky was heard but not seen when he was there. However Terry did hear that Spunky is wandering farther and farther afield these days.

Karen: Nora posted on FB that she spent the afternoon at the beach with Spunky.

I was at the nest site tonight. Terry wasn't there because he was there early this afternoon. He's written about the events at the nest on his blog here.

When I arrived this evening 1 of the adults was perched in the tree to the right of the nest tree and eaglets were squawking from several locations around the nest tree. One of the ladies who is usually there most days told me all about the interlopers. The adult flew off while I was chatting and I didn't get any photos. 2 eaglets flew into the nest tree then quickly flew out again. Later one of the eaglets flew in and landed in the tree in front of Rosemary's house. It flew to the top of the old nest tree and was still there when I left at approx. 9:15. I didn't see or hear Spunky and the neighbours hadn't seen him since early this afternoon. I haven't uploaded my photos yet so will post some tomorrow.

Glad to hear other reports from the nest yesterday I guess evening is a good time to go. I usually go at low tide so I can cover the beach area which is at around 9 AM now.

Judith I live in Victoria by Uptown and I really should make the effort to go to Roberts Bay in the morning.

Some photos of the eaglets last night.

At the top of the nest tree in the glow from the sun. It didn't stay long.

2 more photos of the eaglet in Rosemary's tree. It was looking all around the area.

This was a different eaglet perched atop the old nest tree. It was still there when I left.
It was almost dark; not much light left.

I finally met Philip last night at the nest site. The neighbours have been telling me about him for years but he's never been there when I'm there. He had a lot of his gorgeous photos of Spunky and the eagles and was being encouraged to enter some of them in a photo contest.

The neighbour I usually chat with told me a cute story; Spunky was in the middle of the road the other day playing with a pine cone. This was the main road, not the cul-de-sac which isn't a good thing for Spunky's safety. She said there was a twig attached to the end of it which might have made Spunky think it was a mouse.
