San Francisco CA 2017 Osprey Cam

Thanks, beans, for finding this great cam on the San Francisco Bay Bridge in California.

There are two cams on the page - a close up on the nest, and one that shows a wider view. Big thanks to Golden Gate Audubon Society for making these cams available so we can watch Richmond and Rosie raise their family high above San Francisco Bay!

Beans sent me the following information for this thread:

"May 3, 2017: During the night, Rosie removed one of their three eggs from the nest. It's possible she detected that the egg was not viable (cracked? no heartbeat?) and removed it to focus on the others, but we really don't know. We are getting closer to the window of time when the remaining eggs are expected to hatch..."

From their Facebook page, it appears that the eggs were laid April 1 (after 8 pm), 4 (around 5 pm) and 7 (afternoon); 35 days for the first egg is May 6.

Video Camera Those darn sticks!

May 9, 2017: A windy day at the nest. Rosie brings a stick and walks around, and on top of, Richmond to place it.
