Decided to check on Belle~~ It is 1:30 am here . She is still sleeping in nest .

Tonight I heard what may be bad news for our eagles in several nests...more snow cooming this week to the same spots! I sure hope the predictions are wrong!

Stood up at 5:45 am looking down and shook herself

Belle has left and I do not see any sign of an egg if she was incubating one.... There is an area that has been sort of cleared though.

Well very strange behavior from Belle last night.
Maybe Belle just wanted to be near the eggs not sure!
Looks like the snow melted a bit yesterday
The original egg cup area remains fully covered in snow and
the second clearing is more visible this morning but no egg.
Nest is still empty.

Dad flew into the nest then Mom followed. Mom was very near
when she flew into the nest so must have been perched on a branch
out of our view. I think Dad brought a small meal with him as Mom
quickly joined him near the front of the nest then she mantled
and was cheepin too. While Mom was mantling Dad checked out
the new cleared area in the nest.

Very brief visit as they have both left already.

940 am

Adult is in the nest again; seated and looking all around.

943 am
Adult is up and moves to the 6 oclock position then
flies out of the nest.




Now off to work I go.
