What a stunningly beautiful bird. One doesn't realize their true beauty seeing them flit around flowers, dart here and there. The upcoming weeks should be increasingly appealing for you as you watch the young ones bloom and see Ma up close. Please continue to share. I hope all goes well with your little family.

Well there are no wee HummingbirdHummingbird baby hummies visible in the nest today and so I presume they have successfully fledged already. Such a quick nesting time! Will watch for another clutch.

Osprey, 6-27-12. This osprey stopped by for about 30 minutes today in tree that more often is frequented by eagles. Have observed ospreys in this tree about three or four times a year. Photos taken from back yard.
