I have hummies all year round but they are so hard to capture in a photo. This one sat still long enough to get a decent snappie. Again through kitchen window! It's the only way most of the time, unfortunately.

And another of the Varied Thrush. Perky little fellow. Had a lovely bath, too. Smile

Lori, Oh my, you must have been over the moon seeing snowy. Wish I had been able to get a shot like that, I saw one way across the harbour that we drove out of our way to see. You could not see it without biniculards. had to tweak & crop & zoom pic in order to keep it.

MY book & when I googled eastern phoebe. almost but mine has white eye ring like the least flycatcher. The eastern wood pewee could be it. in my book it shows no eye ring but when I googled, some pics had it & some didn't. it said some can have none or only a faint one. A very good possibility. Thanks Lori

Someone just IDed it as a Northern Mockingbird. I have plenty of photos of them from summer when they are sleeker. I've never seen them plum & in winter It has the right tail length & bottom wingbar markings. yeppee
