They are so beautiful; I haven't seen any in our area for a very long time. They are slowly coming back I hope. Jan 5 WHile out walking in Morning side Park just as it was getting light out. I think he was after a vole before he heard me crunching in the snowClick on image to download

I left at 7:15 to walk to Morningside Park. I got there around 7:40 & saw what I thought at first was 5 or 6 deer just past the 1st barrier after the 1st parking lot. Then I decided, they were too low for deer. Looking closer I thought wolves but I don't think we have wolves in Toronto. Looked closer, they were coyotes. I wonder if coyotes change colour for winter> Sadly the picture I took did not turn out. From now on I bring my Swarovski's with me to see better.

EIGUOC and East Coast: First of all, great pixs of foxes in the snow. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here, but we are now getting some good critter sightings from our house. A couple of days ago a very scrawny-looking coyote meandered by but had disappeared by the time I got my camera. Today, 3-5-10, two eagles were atop a nearby tree. We often see eagles in this tree, and I have a spotting scope on a tripod in the kitchen where we can view the eagles. However, I went outside to get these pictures on a sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.

edkeagle, you are so lucky to have eagles outside your window. They look so good against the clear blue sky. Last year I was lucky to have a pair of Red tailed hawks nesting somewhere on the ravine hill behind my apartment. I'll go thru some of my 100 pics of the fledglings & find the best ones to post here

When we came back from camping in Aug. they were gone. We've been seeing the adults doing fly bys again so hoping for a new batch of eggs.
