Debs, thank you "Wuv",

Wish I had just stayed on the cam until dark but oh-no, I had to go take care of some unfinished business. Der rats! No matter; we have your pictures, Debs.

OT: This nest is special to my spouse since he is from the Bay Area, San Francisco. Whenever he gets home from work now, he's asking: "Did Debs post any pictures today?" Debs, you have 2 fans, for sure, living in the San Joaquin Valley. Clapping

Cal wave so sorry you missed their visit I nearly did too; but thought nope I am going to wait alittle longer and sure enough Left thumb up they visited and I was so glad too!! I am terribly pleased to hear that you and your hubby enjoy the scaps brings me much pleasure to know the two of you are just as excited as me about the capturing the moments of this wuvable couple. Sometimes I feel I take too many but if you are enjoying them then I will continue ClappingClappingClapping How special that your hubby is from the Bay area; I imagine he has visited the nest area then. How far do you live from there now and do you have any visits planned? My bro works in CA for P G & E and I often think I should plan a visit and of course visit the nest too Grin

I do so enjoy this nest; the nest is large with plenty of room for the family to grow Left thumb up After last season I was so reluctant to come back but they captured my heart love and soul Wub and I cannot stay away Tongue

Now it is sleepy jammy time so Good night Cal and Cal Hubby wave

wave Hi Debs and Pelican Harbor Cruzers,

Debs, Goodness sakes; if your brother lives in CA then by all means, "come-on-down". I'll have your "Valley Girl" T-Shirt ready for you. Rolling on floor laughing

Will try to answer some of your questions: No, we have not yet made a visit to Santa Cruz Island. We are trying to coordinate a trip with Hubby's family. We may have to go it alone because of lack of facilities on Santa Cruz. We'll see.... Where we live in the San Joaquin Valley, it is about a 3 hour drive to the coast. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are a 30 minute drive to the east. We're close to Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks.

Time to grab your popcorn because I'm posting a 20 minute "must see" movie from the National Park Service: "Restoring Balance: Santa Cruz Island".

This site will give all the important details about visiting the Channel Islands including a very nice map in relation to mainland California. "Channel Islands"

ETA: "The Rainbow Bridge"
