But, right when we got there, we spotted both Liberty & Spirit perched not far from their new nest, about 150 yards from their old nest at Riverview.

It wasn't long before Spirit joined his mate on the same branch and they started calling and mating!!!

Spirit took off and tried to bring in some branches to the new nest, but it is so tight in there that he dropped two of them while we were watchingSad

Spirit gave up after those 2 attempts and re-joined his lovely mate over on a Pine Tree between the old nest and the new nest.
They both looked healthy and unfazed by their dilemma...

Liberty flew toward another Pine Tree and landed on top of that, Spirit eventually joined her up there!

Beautiful photos of Liberty and Spirit in the pine tree, Terri. When I saw your picture with Kit on the previous page, this was my reply which I posted and then realized my comments would appear after the eagle photos.

After seeing the pic of Terri and Kit:

Ha.Ha.Ha. There's my two favorite Redding eagle lovers!! I surely miss you guys.

Titter Thanks Karen, we sure miss you too!hug

We could use your expertise down here about now!Bravo

A gal from the FORE fb page reported that she saw 2 eagles perched together near the Turtle Bay nest today around 1pm?!?

Maybe they haven't ruled out returning to their old nest quite yet?!?

She needs to lay those eggs soon, that is one thing we know for sure!

Up here we've learned never to assume which nest they will use, Terri. We've often been mislead by the actions of some of our eagles right up until egg laying.
