Welcome to the Brentwood Bay Eagles thread for the 2016/2017 season. This nest is on private property in the Brentwood Bay area. These eagles have produced many offspring in previous seasons and 2 successful fledglings this past season in their old nest a short distance away. Info on these eagles for previous years can be found here. Please feel welcome to post observations, photos and videos of these eagles if you visit their nest area.

I visited the nest area yesterday and saw an adult perched in a tree at the edge of Centennial Park. It didn't look my way but I managed to get 1 picture.

I visited the nest area this afternoon and did not see or hear any eagles. I took a photo of the nest on Wallace Dr. from Stelly's X Rd. There was nothing to see in this nest or in the nest behind the vet hospital.

I went by the nest sites today and did not see any eagles. At the end of the side road across the field from the nest on Wallace Dr. I saw a big, beautiful Red-tailed Hawk perched on a post overlooking the field. I guess it heard my car door open and flew off before I could get a photo. I drove back to Sluggett Rd. where I spotted one of the eagles perched high in a tree in front of the house at the end of the road. It was a very dull sky and threatening rain so I didn't stay long.

Thanks Bev. It's a good vantage point for them to scan the fields for prey Left thumb up
