This is the shot the Sutton Center with the help of a crane provided by the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge got the day they cleaned the lens on March 5th. It shows the lack of feathers that the other two had that protected them during the rains and cold temps that followed. Heartbreaking to know that his cuteness along with Ma's inablility to cover them adequately anymore cost him his life to hypothermia Cry Hanky sad

I saw this earlier today but could not reply. I have not been watching this nest, but so sad the news. Hope the parents recover soon from the trauma of the death as well as the intrusion to the nest. Many lovely thoughts and prayers to all that love this eagle family.

Lori, thank you for bringing Lil Bit here to rest with us. He had become rapidly a favorite of so many of us and I personally will miss that little eaglet. So sad.....I wish the eagles understood just a bit more.

Today we said good bye to Skye, my granddog. She was so gentle and sweet. She will be greatly missed. We so treasure all the memories we have of this sweet lab mix with a heart of love for all.

Rest in peace sweet Skyegirl.
