Elle~~~I can completely agree with not disturbing the nest. Some people just don't understand what affect that would have. I sincerely hope they give you and David the respect that is deserved when you explain the situation.

Sassyk~~~I see no reason to apologize for the quality of your pictures. I think they turned out wonderful. If my pictures turned out half as good I would be jumping for joy.

Thank you both for bring this amazing experience to the forum.

David and several HWF members came over from Vancouver yesterday to see this nest. Ian and I were unable to be there with them because we have company from out of town and had made other plans for the day. The Vancouverites could not wait ..... Smile

Thanks Elaine There will be many more visits as the hawklet and eaglets grow and develop Left thumb up

Too bad I didn't know David et al were at the nest site yesterday; it would have been nice to see them again Sad

My videos are all a bit shaky so YouTube is editing them. However, the video of Mom with the crows harassing her has been cut off at the 1:30 mark. The original video I uploaded is 2:44; the last part is the eaglet watching the birds flitting in and out. I'll check YouTube again later; I might have to upload it again Mad

A few more photos from Sat.

Wonderful documentation of this super nest Lynda and Kay, both by camera and dialogue. Yes it is a shame you missed the visit of David and entourage Kay. I suspected David would have to visit in person very soon. Grin Thank you for Christan's video Lynda. Many questions I have are already answered by David. Marvellous.

These are the last few photos from my very enjoyable visit Sat. Phew

Another wingercizing session by one of the eaglets. Hawklet is barely visible on left side of nest.

Hahaha that last picture is perfect!
Little hawklet seems almost hyper to me. I don't know how they normally would act in a nest but this one acts to me like a very hungry eaglet would be acting on arrival of food. I'm thinking the eaglets have reached an age of not needing quite as much since the growing phase is about over and now hawklet can be first in to get dibs on food arrival. He's made it this far, let's get him to fledge!
