Ian and I visited the nest a few hours ago. The whole family was there. The 3 eaglets were front and centre self feeding and the hawklet was at the back of the nest. The hawklet is not nearly as aggressive as it was a few days ago. It was vocalising for food and finally after the eaglets had eaten, the adult fed the hawklet. The hawklet is holding its own but the dynamics seem to have shifted.
There were only a few photographers there but it was early.
I will be back with pix.

And the star of the show makes an appearance. He stayed at the back of the nest and he looks so small compared to the giant eaglets. I think he is keeping his distance from them now. Certainly looks that way anyway.

I just got home after visiting the Wallace Drive and Roberts Bay nest.

Mom was perched at the top of the next tree to the right of the nest tree, being harassed by the crows. The eaglets and hawklet were up and down, stretching and flapping their wings. They decided to have a rest then one by one they all got up again and were flapping and jumping around the nest! There were quite a few photographers coming and going and lots of people stopping to ask what was going on in the nest. I have lots of photos and videos to go through so it will be awhile before I post any.

Mom perched in the next tree to the right of the nest tree. She was being bombarded by the harassing crows but surprisingly they left a short while after we arrived.

The little hawklet got up and ran to the other side of the nest.

Mom was preening and stretching her wings.

Little hawklet ran back to the left side of the nest and sat by his 'sibling'.

Hawklet started squawking; I think it was hungry.
