Welcome to the Roberts Bay Bald Eagles thread.

This thread is dedicated to observations, photos and videos of the eagles who inhabit a nest on private property overlooking Roberts Bay in Sidney BC on Vancouver Island.
This pair successfully fledged 1 eaglet in 2016.
We wish them every success in the coming year.

Last year's thread can be viewed Here

I did a quick visit to the nest area today. An adult was perched at the top of a tree near the nest tree. No neighbours around to chat with. Will post photos later.

Roberts Bay eagle perched near the nest tree enjoying the sun. It looks like Mom, maybe waiting for Dad to come home with dinner.

There were a lot of little birds flitting around under the nest.

A visit to Roberts Bay yesterday. One eagle perched near the nest overlooking the bay.
No eagle visible in the nest but a neighbour says there is a lot of activity in the a.m. and he thinks they are incubating eggs.

A visit to Roberts Bay today confirms this is an active nest this season. Can't see the young yet so unable to confirm if there are one or two or ? But there was definitely a feeding going on.
Back with a pic or 2.

The male made a delivery to the nest while we were watching and the female stood up and began feeding
