Jaguarundi

It's unfortunate it was so smoky at the rehab/zoo the one and only day we were there. I felt sorry for the critters and it made it very hard to take decent pix.

Elle ~ I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed your photos and videos! There is so much I would love to comment on, but time does not permit. You know how I love the big cats so I am blown away with the beauty of the Jaguar.
I just lovvvvvvve him. Awesome face and beautiful fur. The picture I love the most is the 5th one where h/s is
resting her head on her leg...such a soft look in her eyes. Of course, I like the Puma too.
The Jaguarundi is very interesting looking. I have to look that one up and find out more about it.

Thank you for sharing your marvelous trip.

Thanks Annie. It was such a wonderful trip. Let's hope the jaguar can be successfully bred and returned to the wild as is the plan; they are incredibly beautiful.

I posted the quote from Mahatma Ghandi.

Here is another from the wildlife rehabilitation manual I am currently studying:

" When we return wild animals to nature, we merely return them to what is already theirs. For man cannot give wild animals freedom, they can only take it away."
-Jacques Cousteau

Apropos given current events.
