Good morning it is in the low 40's this morning and will be a chilly rainy/snowy couple of days.

5:25 Ma is on the nest.
5:35 Ma has flown off
7:58 The eaglets have been up with wingstretches and over the side observations. They have mostly been snoozing in the center of the nest.

4:00 parent is at 2/3 and they are all eating. This is the first parent visit since morning and the first feeding. They had plenty yesterday. I always like to know that the parents have checked in during the day. Like to know that they are okay, too.

ONe eaglet does have white tips on its tail feathers. The other does not at this point in time. It is nice to have an id marker just to see who is up and down etc. The markings are not always seen but it helps when they are seen. (I have no idea which is which and we may need to refer to them as white tail tips and no white. Grin)

will check back later.

weathermen say that this nest may receive 1 to 4 inches of snow by morning. This is just one too many storms with snow this season....In the past one parent has stayed on the nest in bad weather. The GOOD NEWS is that these eaglets have handled it and been ok.

Thank you, Donna. Your pics and reports are wonderful!

Watching the nest earlier this evening, looks like the weather is hitting big time. Sad

Like you say, these parents are usually close to the 'lets whenever there is a storm or bad weather. KC and Banner are prepared to handle what comes.

Just checking the weather and see that there should be sunshine on Thursday. Grin

Great pictures - and glad to hear that Mom arrived to stay with the very large eaglets through the storm.

I was watching them for a while this afternoon - so amazing to see them becoming such big eaglets! love

A quick visit by one of the parents around 4:30 eastern - which I think is 2:30 mountain

"Where's she go?" (They leaped up from their nap quite eagerly, and I think she didn't have food.)

The temps will be in the low 50's today and most of this will be melted by afternoon.
Then it warms up and by the weekend it will be in the 70's again.

Ma left the nest about 5:3o
The eaglets stood around for awhile before settling. They look pretty miserable by our thinking, but .........

In the last pic there are indeed 2 eaglets.

Now they are both resting in the one dry spot on the nest.

The times posted on the stills are about 11 hours off the real time.

What a snowy mess! I'm glad they are now big eaglets with feathers to keep them warm - and that the snow won't last! Grin
