It is sunny and cooler....it is windy south of the nest along the foothills, does not look as gusty at the nest.

Parents have kept the nestlings tucked in most of the morning. Here are a couple of pics.Click on image to download

The eaglets have been snoozing off and on all afternoon. They were fed from 1:100 to 1:19.
They were unattended for about 15 min. Then both eagles landed at the nest. 3:30 they are tucked in.

:blink:opps wrong pic at the top of that last post. It is deleted.

I am glad to see that it is not as windy at the nest as it is further south. We are to have wet cooler weather through Thursday. There could be traces of snow overnight Wed.

These two seem to be pretty mobile and they are also usually eager to eat. I noticed that the bigger eaglet gets fed first, but they both get fed. I don't notice too much aggression. They are sure a pile of fluff when they are snuggled together.

5:00 the wind has increased at the nest. It is colder and Pa has the eaglets tucked in and bedding drawn close to him....weather report is that we could have a bit of snow overnight in varying locations along the foothills from Wyo to southern Colorado.

There is a big fish at 3.

April 7, 2010 low 30's overnight and high 40's in afternoon. Looks like about an inch of the white stuff overnight...

waveHi Judy and Bev, you beat me here today as I slept inSleepy

The eaglets are being fed. I saw both in the stills and the feeding lasted 10 min. There is food at 3.
8:06 the eaglets are tucked in and the sun is shining. The snow will melt quickly.
8:32 Ma is facing 6 and it continues to be sunny. KC/and Banner are tucked in.

I will be watching in and out today. But I agree Judy all is well at St. Vrain this morning.
